I was intrigued to hear the Lost Sailor > Althea which turns out to be more sequential the linkage. A kind of, "let's play the new songs" rather than

"I wonder if there is path from one to the other." I continue to muse on the half-step > franklin's show opener. Half-step is such an upbeat tune with such decidely gloomy lyrics - following it with a song of unrepentant hope provides a sort of meta-physical balance. Last thought. Scarlet > Fire, Estimated > Eyes was the holy grail of second sets in the early eighties. It was not invented with Brent in the band, but they sure perfected it.

Heady Jamming
Personally, I like this show better than some of the Dick's Picks. Jerry is feeling it this night you can tell. Wish I could get a complete SBD.

One of the best of the year, but recording has gaps
This is a good show from start to finish, including the first set, which has very nice Franklin's Tower. (Brent's "Captain and Tennille" electric piano

sounds more like "Muskrat Love" than Brown Eyed Women and Lost Sailor, but it's not too distracting.) I like this Fire and the Estimated Prophet is excellent. Unfortunately, there are a number of cuts in some of the songs. Ollin Arrageed is completely missing, which is a shame. You can hear the opening beats of Ollin at the end of Drums, but Ollin never appears. Still, this is an enjoyable, musical show to listen too. It's better than the previous night, and is one of the better shows of 1979.

Great sounding show But----
The show sounds great and the boys are on but, somebody needed to point out that the Althea gets cut at the end. And it's a brutal cut at that. If you

know anything about 79 Altheas' they are hot and this cut needed to be brought to the attention of the people. However it's still worth getting.
